Flavia has become one of the country’s most successful Ballroom, Latin American and Argentine Tango performers and choreographers.

Although Flavia is a phenomenon in her own right, she has been dancing with Vincent Simone since she was 14 and they have become one of the most dynamic duos in dance. Their many professional accolades include: UK Professional Ten Dance Champions 2002-2006, UK Professional Show Dance Champions 2003-2006, UK Argentine Tango Champions 2006 (first time the competition has ever been held), World Argentine Tango Show champions 2005/2006, UK Ballroom champions for several years, World & European Ten Dance and Show Dance finalists 2002-2006.

In 2007 she moved away from competitions and into TV as a professional dancer on the BBC’s critically acclaimed Strictly Come Dancing. In 2008 and 2009, Flavia and her husband Vincent took part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour. 2010 saw them participate in Strictly Come Dancing – the Professionals UK tour. In 2012 Flavia and Louis Smith won the series and took home the much-prized glitter ball.

More recently, her and her dance partner Vincent Simone have wowed their audiences with four shows of their own which have received Olivier Award nominations for family entertainment. They have not only starred in these productions but have co-choreographed them. Their first production ‘Midnight Tango’ took place in 2013 and was a dance musical based on the Argentine Tango. This was immediately followed by ‘Dance ’til Dawn’, a dance musical based around a comic murder-mystery plot. Their 3rd production ‘The Last Tango’ had a story line was filled with emotion and suspense and they have performed the show to packed out theatres across the country. Their fourth and most current production is ‘Tango Moderno’ a Tango for today. This dance musical used current music and touched upon the issues we face in modern day society.

Flavia and Vincent have also launched three DVDs teaching the Argentine tango, and a further 4 teaching ballroom and Latin dances, as well as a series of mobile phone apps.

Flavia teamed up with Russell Grant to create a fitness DVD called Zalza they used traditional dance moves to tone your body and improve your cardio. Vincent and Flavia have been nominated twice for ‘rear of the year’ and they were delighted to be the first dance partnership ever to win the title. In 2013 Flavia had the privilege of performing a solo number with cast members of their theatre show ‘Dance TIL Dawn’ at the Royal Variety performance, a real highlight for her.
