Fallon Sherrock is a history making world darts champion, a trailblazer in the female game and who rose to fame becoming the first woman to beat a man at PDC World Darts. She is regarded as Darts’ newest superstar!
Sherrock rose to fame in 2019 at age 25 when she became the first female darts player in history to win a match at the PDC World Championships, and subsequently, two consecutive matches, first by beating male opponent Ted Evetts 3–2 in the first round, and then Mensur Suljović 3–1 in the second round. This incredible achievement saw Fallon become an overnight sensation gaining her huge media attention hitting the headlines worldwide.
The video of her victory posted by the PDC on Twitter has received almost six million views and it is arguably the sport’s biggest story since Raymond van Barneveld beat Phil Taylor in that famous 2007 final. The event saw her earn the nickname “Queen of the Palace” from the name of the venue, the Alexandra Palace.
In July 2022 she won The Betfred Women’s World Matchplay tournament earning herself a place in the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts. The inaugural tournament featured the top eight players on the 2022 PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit, competing in a knockout format. Fallon won the title, defeating Aileen de Graaf 6–3 in the final.
Fallon Sherrock became the first woman to hit a nine-dart finish in PDC history in March 2023 gaining world headlines and international media attention once again. She accomplished the incredible feat in her opening round victory at the Winmau Challenge Tour Event Nine. In the match she defeated Marco Verhofstad 5-3 in Hildesheim, Germany taking a 3-0 lead with her perfect leg of 180, 180 and 141, going on to wrap up the win with a 92 average.
Sherrock has been interviewed widely across national and international media with appearances including beating Piers Morgan at darts on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and even hosted comedy mockumentary viral videos for Paddy Power investigating the murky world behind signs at the darts, and also exploring the curious world of fancy dress at darts events.
