Torie is a Presenter, Sports Reporter and Motoring Expert who loves a challenge and is more than happy to chat to a camera from a helicopter, driving a powerboat or from the terrifying press pit of a red carpet
Torie is very experienced and professional in her approach to her work and that has led to her being given the opportunity to host live events to audiences in their thousands as well as work presenting on TV.
She loves the thrill of live broadcasting and she has recently fronted several live streamed social media campaigns including a live feed whilst driving through the streets of Paris explaining hybrid technology and most recently live reports from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017. At the GoodWood Festival she interviewed Formula One driver Valtteri Bottas and World champion Nico Rosberg, reaching over 300k views on the official Mercedes Benz Facebook page.
She can currently be seen presenting ‘One Second in F1 Racing’ for global news platform CNBC. The series takes an inside look at Formula one from both a business and sporting standpoint. Torie has become a familiar face within the sport and has had the opportunity to get access behind the scenes spending time with, and interviewing some of the leading personalities and sporting legends of Formula One. She even had the opportunity to spend time with Sir Jackie Stewart in his UK home during an interview for CNBC. Torie recalls he was a total gent and spent plenty of time after filming had finished chatting over a good old cup of tea!
Often associated with ‘planes, trains and automobiles’ Torie is the lifestyle presenter for Mercedes Benz. She test drives and reviews new and concept cars and covers lifestyle events all over the world. The success and popularity of these films that Torie was able to get worked as a stepping stone into Motoring journalism and she now writes and presents for AutoTrader (one of the UK’s largest car sites/magazines) and has spent the last year developing the re-launch of Men and Motors (‘Cult’ motoring channel in the 90’s that launched the career of Richard Hammond amongst many). Torie grew up on the South coast in a ‘sports mad’ family, she became passionate about a wide variety of sport. Her ability to host is not restricted to Formula 1 as she has hosted numerous sporting projects including the Formula4 stroke series for ITV4 and ITV1‘s Saturday Sports programming, the GB round of the World Powerboat Championship for Sky Sports, London International Boat show, Navy shows, UK Air shows and the FIFA Women’s World cup in Azerbaijan. She also interviewed some of the biggest names in sport on the Red Carpet at the Laureus World Sports Awards (talking to Sir Steve Redgrave made her dad particularly proud!)
Torie really loves the outdoors and a passion for keeping the heart rate up – hiking, swimming and yoga are a big part of her daily routine.
Torie has a really versatile presenting style and outside of adrenaline fuelled sport she has covered New York Fashion week, some of the world’s largest gaming events and interviewing on the red carpet and fronting an online celebrity news channel. However, it was her personal love of music that allowed her to kick-start her career whilst working as a Redcoat at Butlins. She presented a music show ‘pop Box’, which was shown throughout the UK holiday camps, alongside hosting the Smash Hits Roadshow’s. She also appeared as a main personality on a fly on the wall docu-series aired on ITV, Sky one and Sky Travel.
Torie is extremely creative in her spare time and in her spare time she is often trying out new art projects at home in what she can only describes as ‘organised chaos’.
It would be fair to say Torie’s most challenging yet rewarding job to date has been her recent venture into motherhood. Torie looks forward to the day when her little boy is old enough to realise that his mum ‘plays with cars’ for a living as he is bound to be so proud.
