Nana started her radio career working at Kiss 100 and training at Capital Radio. She soon had her first show, Drivetime on Fusion 107.3, a commercial station covering South East London. Her passion was to demonstrate her skills on TV and a chance meeting led to a job as a launch presenter for Bid-up TV, then onto Price Drop TV where she accumulated over 8000 hours of live TV presentation. Her skills were recognised by the BBC and her tenacity led her to present the Primetime Holiday show on BBC One as well as live Gameshows on Sky One, Sky Movies, ITV and a show called Brainbox on ETV broadcast across Africa.
Nana has a Business and finance Degree and after presenting a money show pilot for BBC3, worked and appeared on Panorama exposing a mortgage scam and bringing developers to heel. Shortly after this Nana clinched the highly sought after job as a live Continuity Announcer on BBC One and BBC Two.
After the birth of her first child, Nana, who was a competing gymnast in her youth, combined her Business skills with her passion for health and fitness and became qualified as Fitness Trainer and launched LadyXsize, a Fitness Guru and brand. She approached Fitness TV and soon acquired her own show ‘Fit Gear’. Not content with just presenting, she pitched a proposition to generate finance and create new shows for which she was awarded the role Head of Development and Sponsorship. She has also worked with Mr Motivator, helping him launch and generate finance for his Fitness program. She sold her first fitness DVD and workout on QVC and regularly hosts fitness events such as BeFit London working with celebrities like Bradley Simmonds and Joe Wickes. She writes for Top Sante, Women’s Running, Black Beauty and Hair, The Voice, Your Fitness and many others. Nana continues to advise on Health and Fitness matters and run LadyXsize Fitness online.
Recently Nana won a sought after place on the BBC’s Sound Women Scheme and inspired by her mentor, Martha Kearney she moved towards current affairs and News. She is a contributor on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and Jeremy Vine’s show on Radio 2.
Nana is now a News Reporter for BBC Look East, presents a Health Show and Saturday Breakfast on BBC Three Counties radio and a weekly Fitness Hour Show/Podcast on UK Health Radio.
